A major burst on a 42-inch transmission pipeline has disrupted water supply to large parts of Eastern Accra and the Tema Metropolis, Ghana Water Limited (GWL) has announced. The incident occurred on Monday, January 19, 2026, and has resulted in significant interruptions to water supply in several communities along the affected corridor.
