CALAPAN CITY, OCCIDENTAL MINDORO — The Coast Guard Station Occidental Mindoro (CGSOM) apprehended five fishing bancas for illegal fishing in the waters off Occidental Mindoro on Tuesday, January 20. According to a statement from CGSOM, they were intensifying seaborne patrols on sea waters to protect marine resources and enforce fisheries laws in the province when they caught the vessels conducting unlawful fishing activities.
