Video Released of Alleged Assault by Tina Peters in Colorado Prison – No Charges Announced as Investigation is Ongoing

Yesterday, former Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters’ X account released a statement that alleged she had been attacked and defended herself in La Vista prison while moving a water unit into a closet.  According to the statement, Peters was told that she would be charged with felony assault and “locked down completely for 24-72 hours.” JUST IN: Political Prisoner Tina Peters Put in Solitary Confinement; Reportedly to be Charged With Felony Assault   According to a statement emailed to Denver 7 from the prison, "La Vista Correctional Facility does not utilize solitary confinement.  Conducting an investigation and moving one or more of the involved inmates to different housing areas pending the investigation is standard safety and security procedures for any incarcerated person involved in an incident, pending investigation results." The statement also said they could not confirm any additional charges as the internal investigation is being conducted.
