"NASA completed its second fuelling test - the so-called 'wet dress rehearsal' - of the Artemis II Space Launch System on February 19, a vital step ahead of its mission to the Moon in March. Footage shows astronauts working inside the spacecraft at Kennedy Space Centre in Cape Canaveral. During the rehearsal, teams demonstrated the ability to load more than 700,000 gallons of cryogenic propellants into the rocket, conduct a launch countdown, and practice safely removing propellant from the rocket without astronauts inside the spacecraft. The second ‘wet dress rehearsal’ test is a crucial step in the prelaunch phase ahead of the upcoming mission in early March. The agency said that during the test, teams closely monitored liquid hydrogen fueling operations, which had proven challenging during previous tests. According to media reports, Artemis II aims to send four astronauts around the Moon for the first time in more than 50 years. Calling the mission part of a ‘Golden Age of innovation and exploration,’ NASA said Artemis will pave the way for new US crewed missions to the lunar surface in preparation for sending the first astronauts to Mars."
