"Visitors enjoyed the final days of winter at South Korea's oldest snow festival, the Daegwallyeong Snow Festival in Pyeongchang, renowned for its giant snow sculptures and Winter Olympics-themed activities. Footage filmed on Friday shows guests walking through the festival grounds, observing snow sculptures and a snow tunnel, and taking photos in a lively festival atmosphere. "It was actually fantastic, it's the first time we've seen such sculptures made of snow, and it's absolutely fantastic. The kids, ourselves, we are loving it," tourist Esteban commented. Held under the theme 'Snowdongi's Journey to Becoming a National Winter Sports Athlete', this year's festival prepared a special mini-Olympic programme. Many visitors participated in sports activities, including skiing and mini-curling. "We came for a day trip in a hurry because it felt like this might be the last chance before the snow melts," another visitor, Woo Yong-jin, shared. "I'm really glad we came. It was fun, and the kid enjoyed it, though he got hurt slightly." Dating back to 1993, the festival has become a prominent winter event of the region. This year, it is scheduled to run from February 13 to 22."
