MANILA, Philippines — Puregold Price Club Inc. has been supporting public schools in remote areas in the country through revenues it gets from its widely-viewed YouTube channel, its president, Vincent Co, said. Go said that it has been his personal initiative to allocate earnings of its YouTube channel to provide much-needed support for public schools particularly in far-flung communities through Puregold’s “Pusong Panalo” Program. He said the program funds classroom renovations, building repairs, and solar panel installation in rural schools. The “Pusong Panalo” Program, which targets to reach 30 public schools by 2028, also delivers livelihood packages for teachers and groceries and school supplies for students, Co said. “By dedicating our streaming revenues to the Pusong Panalo Program, we are giving our digital audience a deeper purpose,” he said. “Every view, share, and engagement now contributes directly to building a brighter future for students in remote areas of the country. This way, our channel becomes a platform that seeks not just clicks or views, but also drives support for the development of the country’s human capital,” he added. Established in 2013, the Puregold Channel serves as one of the retail chain’s online touchpoints, bringing the brand closer to customers through a variety of content. Serving as its brand’s central hub for product awareness and “retailtainment” projects, Co explained that the channel features its free digital series across various genres, short films from its annual Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival, and concerts and music videos featuring OPM (Original Pilipino Music) stars, including SB19, BINI, and Flow G. With over 307,000 subscribers, Puregold’s channel has been recognized with a YouTube Silver Play Button for its strong following. Co said that Puregold’s latest move “that marries its retailtainment venture and social impact project” is proof of how its innovative retail strategy translates to long-term commitment to providing tangible support for underprivileged communities.
