SURIGAO DEL SUR — Flooding triggered by continuous heavy rains brought about by shear line has displaced a total of 23,651 families or 91,087 individuals in Bislig City, one of the areas in Surigao del Sur placed under Orange rainfall warning by the state weather bureau on Thursday, Feb. 19. Of the displaced population, 1,251 families or 4,214 individuals are in 14 evacuation centers while the rest are temporarily staying with relatives or in other locations outside formal evacuation facilities.
