A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 4:50 a.m. EST for light accumulating snow until 8 a.m. EST for Shiawassee, Genesee, Lapeer, St. Clair, Livingston, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw and Wayne counties.
