Heavy security - National Guard escorts forensic ambulance with alleged body of El Mencho to Prosecutor's Office in Mexico City

"A National Guard convoy escorted a forensic ambulance from the Office of the Attorney General (FGR) through the streets of Mexico City to the headquarters of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime in Paseo de la Reforma. The unit was reportedly transporting the body of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, also known as 'El Mencho', leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), for the corresponding forensic examinations. Footage shows the ambulance being escorted by National Guard members until it arrives at the prosecutor's office. Authorities have yet to confirm the identity of the body and report on details of the transfer at the time of publication. 'El Mencho' was injured by federal forces on Sunday during an operation in the town of Tapalpa, Jalisco, and died during his transfer to Mexico City, according to Mexico's Ministry of Defense. In the operation, a total of seven members of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel were killed, and three soldiers were injured. Also known as 'The Lord of the Roosters', he was wanted by the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), which was offering a reward of up to 15 million dollars for information leading to his capture."
