NWC dismantles illegal water connection network in Clarendon

The National Water Commission (NWC) is reporting that it has dealt a blow to a clandestine network of illegal water connections in Clarendon. The commission says that deep in the dense bushes of Palmetto Pen and Cross Pen, its Revenue Recovery Team, in collaboration with the Jamaica Constabulary Force, took decisive action through Operation Clean Sweep. The utility company says the operation led to the removal of 260 ft of 1-inch and 300 ft of 3/4-inch polyethylene flex pipes, as well as 20 lengths of PVC pipe.
