EU halts approval of US trade deal after court ruling on Trump tariffs

The European Union will delay ratification of its trade agreement with the United States after the US Supreme Court struck down a large share of tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump . The decision follows a ruling on Friday that found Trump lacked authority to introduce several duties last spring. After the judgment, Trump announced new across-the-board import tariffs of 10 per cent. The rate rose to 15 per cent on Saturday.
