Here's when Ontario's next Costco is opening

With demolition in full swing and construction just around the corner, it's looking like southern Ontario's newest Costco location will finally open its doors before the end of next year. In a long-anticipated update posted on social media, Oakville Mayor Rob Burton revealed that the final site plan approval has been granted for a new Costco location on the Oakville-Burlington border , located at 3471 Wyecroft Rd., just off the QEW. According to planning documents filed with the City of Oakville , the Costco facility will boast just over 15,600 square metres of gross floor area, along with 1,000 parking spaces, which will include both surface and underground parking. "With demolition underway and permits in review, construction is expected to begin this spring, pointing to a likely fall 2027 opening," Mayor Burton wrote in the update, adding that regional approvals for traffic signals and site access have also been secured. Back in December, demolition work began to tear down existing stores on Wyecroft Road near the QEW and Burloak Drive. The forthcoming Costco location will also include a staffed gas bar located at the northwest corner of the site. Until the new store's opening in 2027, Costco members in the area can visit an existing warehouse in Burlington at 1225 Brant St., located approximately an 11-minute drive from the upcoming Costco store.
