'That was intense!' - Szijjarto claims Brussels wants 'Hungarian, Slovak soldiers in Ukraine' as Druzhba standoff reaches boiling point

"Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Peter Szijjarto described EU talks on Monday as 'intense' - and then revealed that EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas wanted 'Hungarian, Slovak soldiers in Ukraine' as he addressed the press on Monday. "During the long, several-hour debate, two things became evident, both sufficiently shocking. One is that Kaja Kallas, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, wants Hungary and Slovakia to send soldiers to Ukraine," he claimed. "The other shocking development is that Ukraine is indeed colluding with Brussels and with the European Commission led by Ursula von der Leyen regarding the blocking of oil shipments," he added. Hungary warned that it would block the 20th package - and the latest $90bn loan - until the Druzhba pipeline was restored and oil supplies were resumed from Ukraine. Slovakia, in a similar move, said it would be suspending electricity supplies to Ukraine on Monday. Both countries have suspended diesel supplies to Kiev. Kiev alleges that the pipeline was damaged in a 'Russian attack', while both Hungary and Slovakia have claimed the halt in supplies is a 'political' move. Last week, the EU Commission admitted it wouldn't be setting any 'deadlines' or putting any 'pressure' on Kiev to get any work finished and resume supplies."
