Peter Mandelson has been arrested, it has been announced. The former British ambassador to the US, who held a number of senior government positions in under Prime Minister Tony Blair and later Gordon Brown, is suspected of committing misconduct in public office.In a statement, a Met Police spokesman said: "Officers have arrested a 72-year-old man on suspicion of misconduct in public office."He was arrested at an address in Camden on Monday, February 23, and has been taken to a London police station for interview.
