"Rheinmetall, one of the largest defence contractors in Europe, showcased several major vehicle and tactical innovations at Enforce Tac 2026 in Nuremberg on Monday, focusing on airmobile operations and the ‘networked security’ of special forces. Footage shows advanced anti-tank unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), soldier systems, drones, weapons, laser light modules, and protection systems on display at the defence fair by leading European contractors including Rheinmetall, KNDS, Diehl and MBDA. Rheinmetall premiered its next-generation Fuchs JAGM, an armoured missile tank destroyer equipped with 24 vertically launched missiles. According to the company, the missile tank destroyer has a ‘state-of-the-art’ sensor package and can detect and engage multiple threats on the battlefield simultaneously, as well as air targets, in rapid succession without reloading. Other breakthrough military equipment displayed by the European contractor included the Caracal air assault vehicle, the world’s ‘first’ automatic, magazine-fed, shoulder-fired 40mm grenade launcher known as the SSW40 Squad Support Weapon, and the Gladius 2.0 soldier system. Organisers said around 1,000 exhibitors from more than 50 countries and some 19,000 professional visitors from around the world are expected to participate in the security and defence fair from February 23 to 25, 2026. The exhibition extends across eight halls, covering approximately 65,000 square metres, including a new ‘armoured forces’ area dedicated to large military equipment."
