KARACHI: The Sindh government has imposed a ban on holding examinations during Holy Week and Easter. In view of the sacred days of the Christian community, all educational boards in the province have been instructed not to schedule any exams from April 2 to April 6, 2026. According to Provincial Minister for Universities, Muhammad Ismail Rahu, this decision was made on the directive of the Chief Minister of Sindh following a request from Reverend Father Mario A Rodrigues, Principal of St Patrick’s High School Karachi. The Chief Minister ordered the change of exam dates out of respect for the religious sentiments of the Christian community. Copyright Business Recorder, 2026
