The Ministry of Home Affairs has allocated an initial 50 companies of the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) to Tamil Nadu. This proactive security measure is in preparation for the 2026 state assembly elections, with the CAPF expected to be inducted on March 10, 2026, for area domination and confidence-building.
