Mark Villar files bill to embed digital skills in PH education curriculum

MANILA, Philippines — Citing widening global disparities in digital literacy, Mark Villar has filed a measure seeking to institutionalize digital skills and technology education across all levels of Philippine schooling. Senate Bill No. 1705, or the proposed Digital Skills and Technology Education Act, mandates the integration of digital literacy and technology-related subjects into the national curriculum, from basic education to higher education and technical-vocational programs.
