In Google’s Gemini AI, you can share your screen, a browser tab, or your webcam. The AI can basically see what you see. It can even describe photos and graphics, explain what’s going on in a video, or assist you with a program like Photoshop. To use it, go to https://aistudio.google.com and sign in with your Google account. Select “Stream” on the left and then “Share Screen.” A window will open where you can choose the program or browser tab you want the AI to see. Select “Share” to start the process. Now you can use the voice input to talk to the AI about the content on the shared screen. If you don’t have a microphone on your computer, you can chat via text, although this isn’t very convenient to do. To end the session, click the X next to “Stream is Live” above the text input field. A circle symbol will then appear in the same place. Click it to restart the process. You can also share your webcam with the AI and talk to it using the image captured by the camera. To do this, select “Stream” on the left side and choose “Webcam.” You’ll need to allow your browser access to the webcam once. After that, you can discuss the live video with the AI.
