Police car blast - Russian IntMin releases footage of the moment IED triggered deadly explosion in Moscow

"The Russian Interior Ministry released footage from the moment a bomb exploded near a police car at Savelovsky Station Square in Moscow in the very early hours of Tuesday. Footage shows smoke rising above the vehicle after the detonation. The video also shows a memorial to traffic police inspector Denis Bratushchenko, who lost his life in the blast. "Denis was an officer who fulfilled his duty to protect law and order until his last breath. The response to this attack will be harsh and principled," emphasised his colleague and friend Andrei Bartenev. Others said they were determined to do everything possible to find those responsible. Russian Investigative Committee representative Svetlana Petrenko announced that the prime suspect had been identified as a 22-year-old Russian from the Udmurt Republic - who died at the scene too. The Russian Interior Ministry reported that the incident occurred on February 23 at around 00:05 (21:00 GMT). The suspect approached traffic police officers who were in a patrol car, after which a device detonated. "As a result of his actions, one police officer died and two traffic police officers were injured and hospitalised," the department said."
