LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Tuesday summoned all the notifications from the federal government regarding the enforcement of the Anti-Rape Act 2021 till March 03. A full bench headed by Chief Justice Aalia Neelum had taken notice of the implementation of the law, during hearing of a bail petition of a rape suspect. Earlier, a law officer informed the court that notifications for the special committees had been issued and copies were attached with the report. The law officer, however, admitted that the crisis cells had not yet been established in all districts. At this, the Chief Justice questioned the earlier claim of the law officer that all notifications had already been issued. He said the notification for remaining crisis cells would also be issued and that committee meetings were being held. The law officer also stated that complete details in this regard were not available. The Prosecutor General Punjab also informed the bench that crisis cells had been established at Victoria Hospital Bahawalpur and Services Hospital, Lahore. Copyright Business Recorder, 2026
