MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Finance (DOF) has turned over a long-idle hospital property in Tondo to the City of Manila, clearing the way for its redevelopment into a new public hospital. The asset, formerly the Emmanuel Community Hospital Inc. (ECHI), had been foreclosed in 1980 and later transferred to the national government. The 1,955.67-square-meter property, located on Jose Abad Santos Avenue in Manila’s 2nd District, consists of five lots and a three-story commercial building.
