The Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) has welcomed the passage of the Sports Fund Bill, stating that it could help address funding challenges in the country’s sports sector. GOC President, Richard Akpokavie, said the establishment of the Fund introduces a dedicated source of financing for sports development. He noted that inconsistent funding has affected the growth of several sporting disciplines in Ghana.
