Over 904,000 perform Umrah on 4th day of Ramadan

MAKKAH — More than 904,000 Umrah pilgrims performed rituals at the Grand Mosque on Saturday, 4 Ramadan 1447H, reflecting heavy turnout during the early days of the holy month.The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques said the figure highlights the intensity of demand, supported by an integrated system of services to ensure smooth movement and comfort for worshippers.The authority continues around-the-clock field and organizational efforts through comprehensive operational plans that include crowd management, regulation of tawaf and sa’i routes, intensified cleaning and sterilization, and enhanced guidance and awareness services in multiple languages.It said the recorded numbers reflect efforts to mobilize all human and technical resources to serve pilgrims in line with high standards of quality and operational efficiency, supported by structured crowd management plans to ensure safety and smooth flow across the Grand Mosque.The authority added that work is carried out in full coordination with relevant entities to provide an integrated spiritual experience. Preparations will continue at heightened readiness levels throughout Ramadan, with expectations of increased numbers during the last 10 nights.
