The National Center of Meteorology has issued a series of orange and yellow alerts across several regions as dust storms and active winds continue to affect large areas of the Kingdom, significantly reducing visibility. Orange alerts, indicating more severe weather conditions, were announced for parts of Makkah Region, the Eastern Province, Riyadh Region, Najran and Asir. In Makkah Region, Al-Shuaibah and Al-Laith were placed under alert beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday and continuing until 11 a.m. Wednesday. In the Eastern Province, two separate orange alerts were issued. The first covers Al-Ahsa, Al-Udayd and Al-Biqiq from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, while the second includes Jubail, Al-Khafji, Dammam, Dhahran, Qatif and Ras Tanura from 4:10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Riyadh Region, including Al-Aflaj, Al-Sulayyil and Wadi Al-Dawasir, is forecast to remain under alert from 6:10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday. In Najran, Thar and Badr Al-Janoub are expected to experience dust storms from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday.
