Meanwhile, US special envoy Steve Witkoff and US President Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, are expected to represent Washington. The talks are taking place against the backdrop of a major US military build-up in the Middle East and threats from Donald Trump of a possible attack on Iran should negotiations fail. Meanwhile, Ukrainian and US negotiating teams are also expected to hold talks on Thursday to outline the contours of a potential peace deal, ahead of another trilateral meeting with Russia."
