North Korea has staged a military parade in Pyongyang to mark its key ruling party congress, state media reported Thursday. The nighttime parade took place Wednesday at Kim Il Sung Square in the capital, featuring various troops, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA). The ruling Workers' Party of Korea's ninth party congress kicked off last Thursday to outline major policy directions for the next five years on diplomacy, defense, the economy and other areas.
