ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday extended his congratulations to Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait, and the Kuwaiti people on the occasion of Kuwait’s National Day and the Hala February celebrations. In a letter to the Amir, President Zardari offered heartfelt felicitations and commended Kuwait’s resilience, unity, and continued progress under His Highness’ leadership. He highlighted the strong historical ties between Pakistan and Kuwait, built on mutual trust, shared values, and a common commitment to regional peace and prosperity. Zardari noted that bilateral cooperation between the two nations has steadily expanded in areas such as trade, investment, information technology, defence, and people-to-people exchanges. He also referred to the Pakistani community in Kuwait as a key element in strengthening the bonds between the two countries, contributing to Kuwait’s development. Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to further enhancing bilateral ties, Zardari expressed confidence that the fraternal relationship would continue to grow for the benefit of both nations.
