Presidential chief of staff delivers Lee's letter to UAE president

President Lee Jae Myung's chief of staff said Thursday he met United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during his visit to the Middle Eastern nation and delivered Lee's personal letter. Kang Hoon-sik, who is visiting the UAE as a special envoy for strategic economic cooperation, said in a Facebook post that he paid a courtesy call on the UAE president in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday and handed over Lee's letter "expressing his willingness to expand bilateral cooperation." In November, Lee and Sheikh Mohamed held summit talks in Abu Dhabi and discussed ways to expand cooperation in artificial intelligence, the defense industry, nuclear energy and other sectors. Kang said he also held talks the same day with Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, chairman of Abu Dhabi's Executive Affairs Authority, to discuss follow-up measures from the leaders' summit and working-level coordination for the UAE president's future visit to Korea.
