CALASIAO, Pangasinan – The coastal waters of Bolinao and Anda in this province again tested positive for red tide, just six days after authorities declared them free of the deadly toxin that causes paralytic shellfish poisoning (PSP). The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources-Region I (BFAR-I) issued a local red tide advisory on Wednesday, warning the public against gathering shellfish and alamang (Acetes sp.) from the towns’ seawaters, as well as marketing and consuming these marine products.
