According to local media, the ceremony was attended by the Councillor for Sport for the City of Milan, Martina Riva, and Ivan Bolserini from the Italian Paralympic Committee. The Paralympic Flame completes its journey on March 6 at the Arena di Verona, where the Opening Ceremony will be held for the first time at a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Flame's arrival marks the official start of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Paralympic Games, scheduled for March 6-15. The Games will bring together up to 665 athletes from around 50 nations to compete in 79 medal events across six sports: Para biathlon, wheelchair curling, Para alpine skiing, Para cross-country skiing, Para ice hockey, and Para snowboard."
