PPA books record P30-B revenue in 2025

MANILA, Philippines — State-run Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) generated P30.09 billion in revenues in 2025, the highest on record, driven by strong vessel traffic, higher cargo and tariff gains. In a statement on Thursday, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said the revenues of its attached corporation were 8.86 percent higher than the 2024 record. This was based on PPA’s unaudited financial report “The revenue surge was driven by sustained growth in vessel traffic and cargo throughput, higher storage revenues, strengthened regulatory income following tariff adjustments, and favorable gains from dollar-denominated tariffs,” the DOTr said.
