OnePlus is reportedly planning to add a feature to its forthcoming smartphone that could make Samsung look rather foolish. The latest news is that the imminent OnePlus 15T will offer much more than flagship performance in a compact body. It could also be “fully compatible with Apple’s magnetic charging ecosystem”. In other words, the claim here is that the OnePlus 15T will add Qi2 magnetic wireless charging support. It’ll be one of precious few Android phones to do so, if the information from tipster Digital Chat Station is true. Indeed, one of our biggest and most immediate gripes with the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S26 range is that it doesn’t support Qi2 . The tipster also posted a picture seemingly showing off a fan-cooled magnetic charger accessory, which could provide particularly rapid wireless charging speeds. Digital Chat Station For a while there in early-to-mid 2025, it was assumed that Samsung would adopt the sticky standard. However, it turns out you’ll need to buy a special case if you want the delights of effortless wireless charging and convenient accessory mounting. While we recently received confirmation that the OnePlus 15T is coming soon , we have major doubts that it’ll make an appearance in the West. That’s a real shame, because it’s shaping up to be a bit of a beast . Reports suggest that it’ll come packing a 6.32-inch AMOLED, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and even a 7500mAh battery. This is a spec that would be pretty unique for a compact(ish) phone – especially with Qi2 joining the party. Google Pixel 10 Read our review Price When Reviewed: 899,- Euro
