Karnataka's Governor has approved an internal reservation bill, enabling the state to fill more than 56,000 vacancies in the near term. The approval is subject to the Karnataka High Court's final ruling on related cases. In the meantime, appointments will proceed under the existing 50% reservation, with the enhanced quota kept in reserve.
