Muntinlupa, TikTok Launch Digital Initiative for MSMEs

THE Muntinlupa City government announced Friday a partnership with TikTok to strengthen support for local businesses. The digital commerce initiative will be led by the Muntinlupa Entrepreneurship Financing Division. Mayor Ruffy Biazon led the launch of the “Unlad Lokal Roadshow Caravan,” aimed at helping micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) expand their market reach through online platforms. The partnership seeks to enhance the capabilities of MSMEs and content creators through digital transformation programs, including training, seminars and community engagement activities. Under the program, local MSMEs will be onboarded to TikTok Shop and trained on effective digital selling strategies to improve visibility and sales performance. Content creators in the city will also be encouraged to become TikTok affiliates, allowing them to earn commissions by promoting products or to serve as livestream hosts for participating sellers. City officials said the initiative is part of Muntinlupa’s continuing efforts to strengthen entrepreneurship support mechanisms and provide alternative market access for small enterprises amid the growing shift toward online commerce.
