ISLAMABAD: The government on Friday imposed a complete ban on flying quadcopters/ unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) across the country due to the prevailing security situation. A statement issued by the Interior Ministry said that “in view of the prevailing security environment, it has been decided to impose an immediate ban on outdoor flying of quadcopters/ unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), with immediate effect and until further orders.” It said that “in this regard, the provincial governments are requested to ensure strict enforcement of the said ban.” Copyright Business Recorder, 2026
