MANILA, Philippines - President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. declared 15 local holidays for March to mark founding anniversaries and festivals in different parts of the country, Malacañang announced Saturday. The proclamations were recently signed by Executive Secretary Ralph Recto and published on the Official Gazette website. Proclamations 1170 and 1171 declared March 6 (Friday) a special non-working day in the municipalities of Gutalac in Zamboanga del Norte and Tadian in Mountain Province to celebrate the 47th Araw ng Gutalac and the Ayyoweng Di Lambak Ed Tadian Festival, respectively. The President also issued Proclamations 1164 and 1165, declaring March 10 (Tuesday) a special non-working day in the City of Tanauan, Batangas to mark its 25th Cityhood Anniversary, and in the municipality of Norala, South Cotabato for its Founding Anniversary, respectively. Meanwhile, Proclamation 1166 declared March 13 (Friday) a holiday in the municipality of Bauko, Mountain Province to celebrate the Begnas di Bauko Festival. Proclamations 1172 and 1173 declared March 14 (Saturday) a holiday in the City of Passi, Iloilo, for its anniversary as a component city, and in 2nd Legislative District of the City of Antipolo to mark its Special Election, respectively. The President also issued Proclamations 1168, 1174 and 1175, declaring March 16 (Monday) a special non-working day the municipality of Aguilar, Pangasinan for its Ansakket Festival, in Davao City to mark the Araw ng Pasasalamat in relation to the 89th Araw ng Davao, and in Lugait, Misamis Oriental, for its foundation anniversary, respectively. Through Proclamations 1176 and 1177, Marcos declared March 17 (Tuesday) a special non-working day in the municipality of Tayug, Pangasinan to celebrate its founding anniversary, and in Kawayan, Biliran, for its charter anniversary. Marcos, through Proclamation 1167, also declared March 18 (Wednesday) a special non-working day in the entire Province of Masbate to mark its 125th Founding Anniversary. The President also issued Proclamations 1178 and 1179 declaring a special non-working day in Canlaon, Negros Oriental on March 19 (Thursday) to celebrate the Pasayaw Festival 2026; in Tabaco, Albay on March 24 (Tuesday) for its 25th cityhood anniversary.
