MANILA, Philippines —  More women are calling 911 to report and get help about violence against women and children (VAWC)-related cases, the Department of Interior Local Government (DILG) reported on Friday. In 2025 alone, the Unified 911 received more than 5,000 VAWC-related calls, which DILG claimed is “a clear sign that more victims are reaching out and that the system is responding.” ““Nowadays, more people are calling about VAWC-related cases.
