BAGUIO CITY—A fire struck a makeshift structure near the Justice Hall along Yandoc Street in Barangay Rizal Monument here early Sunday morning, March 1, which is also the first day of Fire Prevention Month. City Fire Marshal Mark Anthony Dangatan said the blaze was reported at 4:42 a.m., with firefighters arriving a minute later at 4:43 a.m. It was declared under control by 4:50 a.m. and fully extinguished by 5 a.m. The fire originated from an 18-square-meter makeshift structure reportedly occupied by construction workers.
