"Rescue teams were on the ground in Beit Shemesh on Sunday in the aftermath of a deadly strike that killed at least nine people and injured more than 27, according to Israeli ambulance services. Beit Shemesh Mayor says around 20 people cannot be reached, although not all are necessarily at the impact site. Four buildings reportedly collapsed, and four others were destroyed. It comes after the United States and Israel launched a joint military operation on Saturday against Iran, with US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowing to 'destroy Iran’s missiles'. In response, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced 'large-scale missile and drone attacks' targeting Israel. Reports also indicated that US military bases across the region, including in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Iraq and Kuwait, were struck amid the escalation. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said they’ve launched on a wide scale the 7th and 8th waves of Operation True Promise 4. Iran has launched more than 370 missiles and around 1,000 drones at the Gulf countries at the time of publication."
