PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur – The Bogayo–Gatub section of the Maharlika Highway in Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur was rendered impassable Sunday morning after a retaining wall collapsed. The Kumalarang local government said no injuries were reported. Even before the incident, the highway had been under a temporary “stop and go” traffic scheme since January, following a landslide and ongoing road-widening works.
