DOHA: The US State Department has given its non-emergency personnel and their families in Qatar permission to leave the country, the embassy in Doha said on Sunday as Tehran launched a second day of strikes in response to ongoing US-Israeli air raids. The department “authorised non-emergency US government employees and family members of government personnel to leave Qatar due to safety risks,” the US embassy said in an advisory on its website which also warned Americans to “reconsider travel to Qatar due to the threat of armed conflict”.
