Cathay halts Riyadh, Dubai services

Hong Kong's flagship carrier said it has suspended all Middle East services amid instability in the region. Cathay Pacific said in a statement late Sunday that flights to and from Riyadh have been scrapped until Tuesday at the earliest, while there will be no flights to and from Dubai between now and Thursday. "We encourage customers to check the latest flight information and announcements on our website flight information and announcements on our website," the airline added. In a separate statement, Cathay said customers scheduled to fly between Hong Kong and the two destinations -- as well as transfer through Doha -- between February 28 and March 7 may rebook, reroute or refund their tickets without the usual fees. Such requests must be made before March 7, and the new trips must be completed by May 31. Cathay has already suspended services to and from Tel Aviv since October 2025, citing "uncertainty related to the ongoing situation in Israel". Edited by Raymond Yeung
