In 2025, the Federal Police in Austria conducted 1,868,304 alcohol checks, representing a decrease of 0.4 percent compared to 2024. There were 28,428 reports of drunk driving, compared to 28,867 in the previous year. Additionally, 8,555 people were reported for driving under the influence of drugs, which is an increase of four percentage points compared to 2024, when 8,227 people were affected.
