MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) will assist overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) affected by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East once they return to the country, the agency spokesperson said Monday. DSWD spokesperson and Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao also said Secretary Rex Gatchalian and Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Hans Cacdac met Sunday to discuss how the DSWD would support the government’s repatriation efforts.
