Japan's Volcano Islands hit by 6.0-magnitude quake

TOKYO — A strong 6.0-magnitude quake was recorded near Japan’s remote Volcano Islands on Monday, the United States Geological Survey said. There were no immediate reports of any damage, injuries or tsunami warning from the quake, which according to the USGS took place at 12:55 pm (0355 GMT).
