CALASIAO, Pangasinan — The Pangasinan provincial government is mourning Mary Ann V. de Vera, a 32-year-old caregiver from Basista who was killed in a missile attack in Tel Aviv on February 28. The Philippine Embassy in Israel confirmed her death, saying she was hit by shrapnel while escorting her employer to a bomb shelter. Her remains were identified at the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute and confirmed by her husband, who also works in Israel.
