"Over a dozen people were reportedly injured after an Iranian rocket struck a civilian neighbourhood in Be'er Sheva on Monday, as hostilities between Israel and Iran continued to intensify. Footage from the scene shows residents and emergency responders gathered around a large crater in the ground. Wide shots capture a heavily damaged residential building, with shattered windows and debris scattered across the surrounding area. Military personnel were also seen working with rescue teams. The attack comes amid a widening confrontation that has seen repeated Israeli air strikes on Iranian military infrastructure and retaliatory missile and drone launches by Tehran. Both sides have signalled that operations will continue. The escalation follows confirmation from US President Donald Trump that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, was killed during recent strikes. Trump described the development as “the greatest opportunity for the Iranian people to reclaim their homeland.” Khamenei had served as Iran's Supreme Leader since June 4, 1989, succeeding founder of the Islamic Republic Ruhollah Khomeini. For more than three decades, he remained Iran’s highest political and religious authority, overseeing foreign policy, military strategy and the country’s nuclear programme, and becoming one of the longest-serving leaders in the modern Middle East."
