Catch me if you can - Dramatic operations footage shows Israeli fighter jet evading missile in skies above Iran

"The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) released dramatic footage on Monday purportedly showing a fighter pilot operating over the skies over Tehran evading an Iranian missile reportedly fired at him. Footage shows the fighter pilot navigating defensive manoeuvres over Tehran, avoiding the missile which can be seen passing beneath him. Footage date and location of the footage released by the IDF could not be independently verified. The United States and Israel launched a joint military operation against Iran on Saturday, with US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowing to 'destroy Iran’s missiles'. In response, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced 'large-scale missile and drone attacks' targeting Israeli territory. Regional reports also indicated that US military facilities across the Middle East, including bases in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Iraq and Kuwait, were struck amid the widening confrontation. The escalation follows confirmation from President Trump that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, was killed during the strikes. Trump described the development as “the greatest opportunity for the Iranian people to reclaim their homeland.” Khamenei had served as Supreme Leader since June 4, 1989, succeeding Ruhollah Khomeini, founder of the Islamic Republic. During his more than three decades in power, he remained Iran’s highest political and religious authority, overseeing foreign policy, military strategy and the country’s nuclear programme, and becoming one of the longest-serving leaders in the modern Middle East."
