Philippines joins global calls for ceasefire in Middle East

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines has joined other nations in urging a ceasefire in the ongoing Middle East conflict. “Let’s hope that there’s a ceasefire. And we, the Philippines, ask all parties to show restraint and to bring this to a close as quickly as possible,” President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said in a briefing in Malacañang on Tuesday.
